Betty Rush Mitchell Webb, 98, of Graham, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Blakey Hall in Elon.

A native of Davidson County, she was the wife of the late George T. Webb, Jr. and the daughter of the late John Franklin Mitchell and the late Clara Nona Rush Mitchell. Betty was salutatorian of Denton High School and graduated from Women’s College (UNCG). Betty assisted her husband George in founding Meredith-Webb and was an active member of Graham Presbyterian Church. Betty loved her family(especially her 3 boys), playing bridge, and being on the go.

Betty is survived by her sons, G. Travers Webb, III, Rev. Dr. Gary C. Webb and his wife Kathie Moser Webb and Kelly M. Webb and his wife Deborah Bryant Webb, all of Graham; grandchildren, Bailey Marie Webb, George ‘GT’ Webb, IV, Monica Webb Lordi and her husband Brian Philip Lordi, Jacquelyn Byler and her husband Nathan; Spurgeon Webb and his wife Bekah, Georgia Webb Main and her husband Kirk and K. Mitchell Webb, Jr. and his wife Katie; Baleigh Webb; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Sidney Mitchell and his wife Ava.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Robert Taylor Webb along with her brothers and sisters.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the Graham Presbyterian Church by Rev. Steve Braswell. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Graham Presbyterian Church, 216 West Harden Street, Graham, North Carolina 27253. The family would like to thank the staff at the Cottage at Blakey Hall and AuthoraCare Collective for their compassion and care.
