Obituary Online notes for Edna PAIGE
ELON - Edna Paige McAdams, 80, of Elon, N.C. passed away on March 25, 2011 as a result of a long illness following a stroke. Edna was born in Danville, Va., but grew up in Elon. She moved to Houston, Texas where she lived for over 40 years before returning to Elon in 2005.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Bob McAdams of Elon; son Ed McAdams of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandchildren Jillian and Stephen McAdams of San Antonio, Texas and Noah and Nathan Elmer of Seabrook, Texas; and great-granddaughter Hailey Paige Elmer of Seabrook, Texas. She leaves nephews, nieces, great-nieces and great- nephews that were all very dear and precious to her.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Margaret Anne McAdams and Suzanne Paige McAdams Elmer; brother, Lawrence Paige of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; sisters Dorothy Paige Allen of Mebane, Vallie Paige Jeffreys of Burlington, and Audrey Paige Shumar of Elon.
Edna will be remembered for her sense of humor, and her love of food, travel and sports. She also had a special place in her heart for Elon. Most of all, Edna loved spending time with family and friends.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Don Pegg. The interment will follow the service at Alamance Memorial Park.
