Marion Francis Blythe
STOKESDALE — Mr. Marion Francis Blythe, 93, of 7700 U.S. 158, Stokesdale, formerly of Laurel Hill Drive, Burlington, passed away at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Countryside Manor in Stokesdale.
A native of Transylvania County, N.C., he was the husband of the late Virginia Spencer Blythe and son of the late William Jefferson Blythe and Leona Hamilton Blythe. Mr. Blythe was retired as Plant Manager at Kayser-Roth in Alamance. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, a member of the First Baptist Church of Burlington where he was a Life Deacon, and a graduate of Gibsonville High School.
Surviving are daughter, Amy Blythe Haynes and husband David of Summerfi eld; son, Aaron S. Blythe and wife Nancy of Winston-Salem; sister, Margaret B. Isley of Burlington; brother, Walter T. Blythe of Whitsett; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Blythe Adams; a son, Ronald F. Blythe; and six brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at the First Baptist Church of Burlington with Dr. Terry
E. Peele and Dr. Dale O. Steele offi ciating. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:30 p.m. at The Gathering Place of the First Baptist Church.
In lieu of fl owers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Burlington, Music Ministry, P.O. Box 2686, Burlington, NC 27216.
