MEBANE - Mr. Rex Leland Farrell, 91, of Mebane, passed away at his residence on Sunday, April 28, 2019, following a two year illness.
A native of Swepsonville, NC, he was the husband of Berniece Kime Farrell and son of the late Garland Patterson Farrell and Crystal Sykes Farrell. He was a self employed carpenter, brick mason and cabinet maker. He was a Veteran of WW II serving in the Navy Sea Bees on Guam, Saipan, and Tinian.

Surviving other than his wife of the home are a son, Danny Leland Farrell of Mebane; and a sister, Yvonne Farrell. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Laurie Sharpe and Annie Gorden Glosson; and two brothers, Kendall Farrell and Bill Farrell.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham. Burial will follow at Hawfield’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 – 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
