Grace E. Meyer, 90, of Cedar Lake, IN, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2001 at St. Anthony's Nursing Home, Crown Point, IN. She is survived by her husband, Leslie H. Meyer; two daughters: Jane E. Bryant of Crown Point, IN and Mary G. Meyer of Cedar Lake, IN; grandchildren: Douglas M. (Jamie) Bryant of Fremont, IN, Natalie (Jeff) Magallanes of Crown Point, IN, David L. (Tina) Meyer of Hebron, IN and James T. (Michelle) Meyer of Crown Point, IN; great-grandchildren: Jacob D. Bryant, Adrean, Valarie and Teresa Meyer; nieces: Sybil (Bill) Mahaffey of Hope, IN, Mary Kathryn Merrick of Columbus, IN; nephews: Richard Herring of Brywn Mawr, PA, Don Herring of Lake Oswego, OR, daughter-in-law: Mary Fran Meyer; stepgrandchildren: Sandy (Doug) Whiteley and Jack (Cindy) Harris; step great-grandchildren: Jacob and Sara Whiteley. Preceded in death by her son, David L. Meyer.

Funeral services will be conducted direcly at Zion United Church of Christ, 14804 W. 113th Avenue, Dyer, IN, on Tuesday, January 16, 2001, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Thomas K. Norwalk officiating. Interment will follow at Brunswick Cemetery, Hanover Township. Visitation will be held Monday, January 15th, at the Burdan Funeral Home 12901 Wicker Avenue (corner of 129th & US41), Cedar Lake, IN, from 4 to 8 p.m., and on Tuesday, January 16th, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Macular Degeneration Association, 17 Hawley Street, North Hampton, MA 01060-0335. Envelopes available at the funeral home.

Mrs. Meyer was a retired school teacher from the Hanover School System, a member of the Eastern Star, Lake County Retired Teachers Association, Lake County Extension Service and the Farm Bureau Co-Op.
