Obituary Online notes for Marjorie May HULSE
Marjorie M. Robbins, 77, Greensburg, died at 4:50 a.m. today, Feb. 21, 1989, in the Greensburg IOOF Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 6, 1911 in Jennings County, the daughter of Harlan J. and Theresa May Hulse. She was a 1929 graduate of Jackson Township High School and a former member of the Bear Creek Baptist Church. She lived most of her life in Indianapolis and returned to Greensburg in 1981. She worked for the Indiana State Board of Health, Indiana University Hospital and Winona Hospital and retired from the Veterans Hospital, as a medical pathology technician in histology. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensburg, the Senior Citizens of Greensburg, and the American Histology Association in Indianapolis.
On March 9, 1966, she married Darwin Robbins in Greene County, Indiana, and he preceded her in death in April of 1981. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Tompkins, Greensburg, her brother-in-law, Robert Tompkins, Greensburg; two nieces, Sharon Holbrook and Linda Jane Tompkins, both of Greensburg; two great-nieces and one great-nephew.
Private family services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, Greensburg, with the Rev. Dr. Lee C. Riggs in Charge.
Burial at a later date will be in the Bear Creek Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
