Robert Franklin May 78, Indianapolis, passed away June 23, 2004. He was a graduate of Southport HS in 1944 and Purdue University in 1949. Robert was the vice president of Beveridge Paper Co. retiring in 1988. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy, and a member of Zion United Church of Christ. Visitation will be Friday, June 25, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., also Saturday, June 26, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. with services at 1:30 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Church of Christ, 8916 E. Troy Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46239 or ALS Association (Lou Gehrig's Diease) 1980 E. 116th St., Carmel, IN 46032. Survivors include his wife, Louise Marie Lemaster May; sons, Frederick Earl May, Richard Glen May; daughters, Barbara Ann Huffman, Marilyn Sue Whitaker, Anita Marie Law; brother, John L.
