GIBSONVILLE – Roger Dale Stewart, 69, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born on September 27, 1948 in Alamance County to the late Cletus James Stewart and Maude Mae Stewart.
Roger retired from Ameritek and formerly worked at Cone Mills. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Andy Griffin show.
Roger is survived by his sons, Ruben James Stewart and wife, Belinda, Michael Dale Stewart and wife, Angela; grandchildren, Aliesa Dawn Stewart, Jessie Rain Stewart and Harley Marie Stewart; sisters, Naomi Westbrook and husband, Ray, and Evelyn Alcon and husband, Johnny; halfbrother, Vernon Tickle; sister-in-law, Frances Tickle; nephew, David Tickle and wife, Nikki; great-niece, Alexis Tickle and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Randall “Todd” Tickle; sister, Aleisa Stewart and half-sister, Madeline Davis.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, with the burial to follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
