Solomon is shown in the 1850 census as being 35 years of age. (Listed under Shatterly--without the "e"). He had children John, Emily J., and Nancy Ann living with him at the time. (Wife must have died). An older lady, Catherine Clapp, also lived in the home---possibly his mother-in-law.  [34742]
