 BURLINGTON — Mrs. Maxine C. Hinton, 91, of 4618 N.C. 62 North, Burlington, died at her residence on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014.
 
 A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Leon Carrington Hinton Sr., who survives, and the daughter of Ira Coleman Sr. and Mary Ruth Carden Coleman, both deceased. She was a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and attended Burlington Business College. Her last employer was American Sales and Imports.
 
 In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a son, Lee C. Hinton Jr. and wife Gina of Burlington; daughter, Donna Hinton Skubinna and husband Neil of Swansboro; grandchildren, Nicholas C. Hinton and wife Ashley and Emily Hinton, all of Burlington and great-grandchild,Wyatt Carrington Hinton of Burlington; sister, Becky Forbis of Southern Pines; sisterin-law, Betty Coleman of Burlington; nephews, Jay Coleman and wife Stacey of Burlington, Tony Coleman and wife Trudy of Mebane and Billy Forbis and wife Theresa of Wagrum; niece, Hope C. Alvis and husband Neil of Burlington; and several great-nieces and greatnephews.
 
 She was preceded in death by a brother, Ira J. Coleman Jr. and brotherin-law, David Forbis.
 
 The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Rick Webster with the family receiving friends from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Christian Church Cemetery. At other times the family will be at the residence.
 
 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of choice or a charity of one’s choice.
 
 The family would like to express deep gratitude to the wonderful care given in her last months from the devoted nurses and sitters.
