John Douglas Dimont, 57, of Roma Rd. passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at his residence after a year of failing health. He was born in Alamance County to the late John Sidney and Betty Marie Moore Dimont and was married to Donna B. Dimont who survives. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of the home; sons, Brian (Ruth) Dimont of Pittsburgh, PA and Bobby Lee (Shannon) Keener of Newton; grandchildren, Milo Dimont, Brittany Keener, Tiffany Keener and Haley Keener; sister, Wanda (Frank) Way of Haw River; and brothers, Eddie S. Dimont of SC, Joe C. (Lisa) Dimont of Burlington and Chris S. Dimont of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Melanie Dimont and a son, Doug Dimont.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Carlton Wilson with interment to follow in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
