Serena C. Hurdle was born 25 July 1832 and died 5 November 1910 (Alamance County, NC), married circa 1856 to Jonathan Brooks, who was born 11 December 1827 (North Carolina) and died 23 July 1910. They had a total of eight children, and are buried at McCray Primitive Baptist Church where he was appointed head of the committee to construct the church.  470, Jonathan Brooks
