Ruth Faucette Allen
 
 DURHAM — Ruth Faucette Allen died on Dec. 25, 2014, at 11:50 p.m. at the Hospice Home of Alamance in Burlington, N.C., just shy of her 96th birthday. She was born on Jan. 14, 1919, in Alamance County but grew up in Durham.
 
 Ruth graduated from Durham High School in 1937 and was a member of Durham Primitive Baptist Church. She was the sixth of nine children born to the late Samuel Fred and Vera Forsyth Faucette. She was the wife of Charles Henry Allen who died in February 2006. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Mary F. Poole and Naomi F. Hand Fosdick; brothers, baby Fred, who died in infancy; Bill, Chesley, George and Bobby.
 
 Ruth is survived by her daughter, Martha A. Jones (Gerald) of Mebane, N.C.; son, Ron Allen (Paula) of El Cajon, Calif.; brother, James Faucette (Swanny) of Durham; four grandchildren, Angela Jones Mann (Todd) of Graham, Joni Jones Carter (Scott) of Sylva, N.C., Brett and Autumn Allen of El Cajon, Calif.; eight great-grandchildren, James (Kristen), Abby, Thomas and Elisabeth Mann, John-Luke, Micah, Zechariah and Anna Beth Carter, and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters in Christ.
 
 Special thanks to the dear caregivers at Twin Lakes Coble Healthcare in Burlington where she was loved and cared for so well for six and one-half years. Words cannot express how much the family appreciated the care that was given to their mother and also to the wonderful Hospice Home of Alamance where she spent her last days in comfort and gentle loving care.
 
 Graveside services will be held at noon Thursday, Jan. 1, in Maplewood Cemetery, Section 16, conducted by her pastor, Elder Cleo Robertson and grandson-inlaw, Scott Carter.
 
 Friends may visit from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday prior to the graveside service, at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service in Durham. Flowers are acceptable or contributions may be made to Hospice Home of Alamance, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
