ELON — Mrs. Louise Beal Purcell, 87, passed away at Alamance Health Care Center on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, following several years of declining health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Donald Lee Purcell and the daughter of Charlie
A. Beal and Goldie Griffin Beal, both deceased. She was retired from Brown-Wooten Mills and a member of Swepsonville Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Griffin and husband Richard, of Gibsonville; two granddaughters, Kim Jordan and husband Troy of Haw River and Christina Apple and husband Craig of Burlington; three great-grandchildren, Haley Jordan, Cole Jordan and Taylor Apple; one sister, Mary Beal Jeffreys of Graham; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Irene Beal Lashley, Helen Beal Rush, Margaret Beal Coble; and brother, Clifford Beal.
There will be a private graveside
service in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Teal Hall of Alamance Health Care Center as well as the staff of Hospice for the special care given to Louise.
