SNOW CAMP — Mr. George N. Zachary Jr., 77, of 7456 Zachary Lane, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at 5 a.m. following several years declining health.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Janet Dodson Zachary, who survives, and the son of George N. Zachary Sr. and Elizabeth Davis Zachary, both deceased. He was a retired dairy farmer and a member of Spring Friends Meeting in Snow Camp.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include a daughter, Lisa Zachary of Snow Camp; son, Doug Zachary and wife Brenda of Burlington; and four grandchildren, Alexandria “Ally” Booker, Justin Booker, Cameron Zachary and Jordan Zachary.
The funeral service will be conducted at Spring Friends Meeting on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at 3 p.m. by David Hobson. Burial will follow in Meetinghouse Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
