Horace Brumble
(May 2, 1931 - January 30, 2018)

U.S. Veteran Mr. Horace Brumble, 86, widower of Janet Britt Brumble, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Brumble was born May 2, 1931 in Dillon, a son of the late Winfield Hancock Brumble and the late Bessie Tucker Brumble.

He was a retired house painter. Mr. Brumble was a US Army veteran. He loved music and playing his guitar. Mr. Brumble dearly loved the Lord and was a member of Mullins First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving Mr. Brumble are: his Children: Lisa Young of North Carolina, Tommy Burnette of North Carolina and Dallas Cheked of Pennsylvania; his Grandchildren: Christy Brewton and Mitchell Nolan; several Great Grandchildren; a Brother: W.H. Brumble, Jr. of Burlington, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Brumble was predeceased by 2 brothers, Walker Brumble and Douglas Brumble and 7 sisters, Edna Louise Brumble, Carro Powell, Thelma Johnson, Bessie Virginia Brumble, Beatrice Gibbs, Margaret Lee and Doris Chapman, his twin sister.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 3, from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Billy Brumbles officiating.

Burial will follow at McMillan Cemetery
