BURLINGTON — Mrs. Pauline Wade Loy, 86, of Burlington, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Coble Healthcare of Twin Lakes.
A native of Prospect Hill, NC, she was the wife of Earl Loy, Jr., who survives, and daughter of the late Willie Ervin Wade and Luna Cobb Wade. Mrs. Loy was a retired textile employee. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, the Adult Sunday School Class and was a former Church Treasurer. She attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Loy was preceded in death by six brothers, Edgar Wade, J.D. Wade, Raymond Wade, Warren Wade, Carlton Wade, and Franklin Wade and a sister, Elizabeth Barnwell.
Survivors include her husband of the home, two sons, Steve and wife Bonnie, Michael and wife Sandra; daughter Teresa Farrell and husband Roscoe; three brothers Wilbur, Hassel, and Bobby Dean and wife Carol; sister Melba and husband Bill; seven grandchildren Steven Loy, Jr., Erin Duckworth and husband Steven, Brittany Loy, Heather Edinger and husband Rick, Megan Saulsbury and husband Cory, Jaquelyn Loy and Cody Farrell; and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 21, at Friendship United Methodist
Church with Rev. Henry Swanzey and Rev. Steve Loy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral & Cremation Service in Burlington, 6-8 PM, Monday evening and other times at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church, 4612 Friendship-Patterson Mill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215; to Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1358 Antioch Church Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
