Obituary Online notes for Sarah R. Brannock SWIFT
According to census forms and Ben's son's death records. The daughters are not Ben's, they are Absalom & Sarah Brannock Swift Tickle Sutton's. No clue what the R is for.

Sarah was living with WM Brannock and his wife Elizabeth (grand parents) with her brother William before marrying Absalom.

Orphans: clue I found was George Swift and unknown Brannock were her parents.

Ab and Sarah are my 3rd great grandparents. Elizabeth my 2nd ggm, married Frank Kernodle, both died young orphaning my GGM Esther Kernodle who was living with Sarah and her son John Sutton as a child, her GM and uncle. Took a lot of census forms to find them.

Civil war tore up families and too many orphaned. Sarah and Ab were the parents of the girls, Ben and Sarah had 3 sons before he too widowed her. She never remarried and too little is out there about her parents so I assume they both died young as well.

The WM brannock census solved who took them but I assume her mom was their daughter.

Absalom's mom is also a mystery, she was the first wife of Daniel l Tickle and also mom of Rankin Tickle who was also killed in the civil war.

AB Tickle was treasurer at this church at one time. His dad Daniel also sold them the land if I remember correctly.
