Loftin Scott Aldridge, Sr.
YANCEYVILLE — Mr. Loftin Scott Aldridge Sr., 87, of 9102 South NC 62, Yanceyville died at the N. C. State Veteran’s Home in Kinston on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 7:35 a.m.
A native of Caswell County, NC, he was the husband of the late Frances West Aldridge and the son of Walter A. Aldridge and Lizzie Rudd Aldridge, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, Division 434, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired farmer and country store owner of Loftin S. Aldridge Store and Service Station in Caswell County. Loftin attended Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church and Open Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Dale Apple and husband David; son, Loftin Scott Aldridge, Jr. and wife Michelle; two grandsons, David Apple, Jr. and wife Christin and Zachary Andrews; granddaughter, Ashley Wrenn and husband Mark; three great-granddaughters, Makayla Grace Wrenn, Raelynn Apple and Madison Wrenn; greatgrandson, Alex Wrenn; great-granddaughter expecting to be born in September, Avery Apple; and two sisters, Janice A. Andrews and Malinda A. King.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Bessie Lee Aldridge and Shelia Marie Aldridge; one brother; and sister, Ruby Jefferson.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Steve Pruitt with the family receiving friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Other times, the family will be at the residence.
