BURLINGTON — Rovena Callie Page Ward, 75, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 surrounded by her family at her daughters’ home in Myrtle Beach. She was born in Caswell County to the late Arthur Burch Page and Rosa Mae Smith Page and was the wife to the late Jerrell Ward of 45 years who died in 2003.
Rovena retired from GKN after 22 years of service. She was a member of Haw River Baptist Church, the Young at Heart Sunday school class and attended Altamahaw Baptist Church. Rovena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister and will be missed dearly.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Joshua Richardson; sons and daughters-inlaw, Danny and Becky Ward, Tommy and Cathy Ward; grandchildren, Josh Willets and wife, Ashley, Amber Willets, Michael Ward, Danielle Ward, Ashley Ward, Savannah Ward, Tyler Ward, Bryan Ward and wife, Natalie, Megan Ward, Leslie Ward and Alex Ward; great grandchildren, Parker Willets, Kayden Willets, Kameron Willets and Hailey Ward; sister and brother-in-law, Nellie and Bill Robertson; brother and sister-in-law, Winford and Rachel Page. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers, Robert “Odell” Page and William “Billy” Page.
The funeral service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Altamahaw Baptist Church by Dr. Steve Tucker and Rev. Walter Jones, with the burial to follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Monday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
