JULIAN - Mrs. Helen Coble Clapp went home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2009, at Guilford Health Care in Greensboro.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at Coble's Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Grady Beaver; burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends on Monday evening, January 12, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty.
She was retired from Stanley Home Products Dealer and sold Stanley Products for many years.
Mrs. Clapp was the daughter of the late Franklin and Mae Amick Coble and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Willamer Clapp, and brother, Robert Coble.
She is survived by her son Harold Clapp and wife, Carolyn of Julian; sisters, Dot Ferneyhough, Lillian O'Briant, Betty Causey, Evelyn Honeycutt and Patsy Johnson; two grandchildren, Richard Clapp and wife, Christine and Crystal Clapp and two great grandchildren, Hunter and Austin Clapp.
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Coble's Lutheran Church, 5200 Coble Church Road, Julian, NC 27283
