Frank Westbrooks
 
 Frank William Westbrooks, 91, of Kilby Street, passed away Friday September 4, 2015, at Hospice Home.
 
 A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Mack and Sarah Elizabeth Summers Westbrooks. Frank was employed by Holt Construction for 45 years and later worked with Central Builders and Keck Co. He was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Elon. He was a U.
 
S. Army veteran who fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was an avid fisherman.
 
 Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Marion Sykes Westbrooks of the home; children, Frances Talley and husband Jimmy, Wayne Westbrooks and wife Diana, Kenneth Westbrooks and wife Sherrie and Janet Westbrooks Wrenn, all of Burlington; grandchildren, Steve Howard Jr. and wife Amy, Jennifer Westbrooks, Jeff Westbrooks and wife Lindsay, Christina Westbrooks and Amanda Wrenn; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was the last of nine children.
 
 Funeral
 
services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2015, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jerry Weldon. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mr. Westbrooks will remain at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday and at the home at other times.
