Baxter Paul Abee
BURLINGTON — Baxter Paul Abee, 76, of 105 Tate Dr. died Friday, May 2, 2003, at Duke University Medical Center.
A native of Orange County, he was the husband of Aleene Welch Abee for 52 years.
He retired from Pilot Freight Company, was a WWII Veteran of the US Navy and was a member of Faith Bible Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Aleene Welch Abee of the home; a daughter, Delaine Lowry and her husband, Jim, of Key West Florida; three sons, Randy Abee of Winston-Salem, Craig Abee of Burlington, and Kyle Abee and his wife, Marti, of Mebane; four grandchildren, Ashley Abee, Toni Abee, Shane Abee, and Anna Lowry; three sisters, Hazel Robertson, Micki Stewart, and Natalie Scott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Baxter Abee and Vasa Terrell Abee; three sisters, Gladys Jones, Dorothy Warren and Thelma Love; and one brother, Robert Abee.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 4, 2003 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Mark Robertson. Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at the funeral home.3, Baxter Paul Abee
