Obituary Online notes for Edna Louise WHITESELL
Edna Whitesell Martines of Gibsonville, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Antonio Martines, Jr. and the daughter of the late James Connie and Gertrude Hawkins Whitesell.
She was a retired botanist with Carolina Biological Supply an active member of Gibsonville Christian Church serving as a Sunday School Teacher and Trustee and was active in the Gibsonville Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include her husband, Antonio Marines, Jr. of the home; daughter, Renee Martines Angiulli and husband Daniel of Summerfield; grandchildren, Samuel and Danielle Angiulli; brother Gaynor Whitesell and wife Viola of Gibsonville and sister, Rebecca Loye of Greensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 in the Gibsonville Christian Church by Rev. William Baker and Rev. Jerry Saunders. Interment will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Martines will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.
The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and at the home at other times. 470, Edna Louise Whitesell Martines
