GIBSONVILLE — Antonio “Tony” Martines Jr., 78, passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at Alamance Regional Medical Center following an acute brief illness.
He was born March 22, 1936, in Guilford County, to the late Antonio Martines Sr. and the late Pauline Adams Martines. He was married to the late Edna Louise Whitesell Martines, who passed away in 2013.
Survivors include his daughter, Reneé Angiulli and husband Daniel of Summerfield; grandchildren, Samuel Angiulli and Danielle Angiulli; sister, Frances Everhart and husband John of Greenville, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Margie Martines Blake; and a brother, James David Martines.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Gerald Saunders. Interment will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
