Lucy Batten Whitesell
September 27, 1932 ~ June 12, 2025 (age 92)
Lucy B. Whitesell, 92, of Burlington, NC passed away at Brookdale Care Center on Thursday, June 12, 2025 following a brief illness.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Franklin Delano “Frank” Whitesell and the daughter of Cecil Danford Batten and Mildred Moody Batten, both deceased. Lucy was a 1951 graduate of Burlington High School. She retired from Western Electric and volunteered with the Alamance County Meals on Wheels. Lucy was a long-time member of St. Mark’s Church.
Survivors include three children, Margie Revill and husband Andy of Durham, Sammy McIntyre and wife Cynthia of Burlington, and Anne Gross and husband David of Burlington; two grandchildren, Jason Revill and Jon Revill and wife Crystal; great grandchildren, Olivia Revill and Norah Revill; and sister-in-law, Edna Batten. She was preceded in death by a brother, Danford Ralph Batten.
