BURLINGTON — Evelyn Nadean Whitesell Solomon , 84, of 1016 Plaid St., went home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 18, 2005, at the Hospice Home.
She was the wife of the late Alvis Quint Solomon , and daughter of the late Everett and Emma Small Whitesell .
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon and worked for Bennett Hosiery Mill in Gibsonville.
Survivors include her son, Gary Solomon of the home; granddaughters, Patricia Turner, Mary Greeson, and Melissa Solomon ; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Turner, Jonathan and Matthew Greeson; sister, Peggy Shaw. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Carolyn S. Carter; sister, Rena Brumble; and brother, Newman Whitesell
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2005, at First United Methodist Church of Elon by the Rev. Terry Huffines. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory from 6 to 8 this evening, and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
