Mr. Alvis Quint Solomon
BURLINGTON — Mr. Alvis Quint Solomon, 81, of 1016 Plaid Street, died on Thursday, July 18, 2002 at Alamance Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. A native of Caswell county, he was the husband of Nadean Whitesell Solomon who survives celebrating 60 years of marriage. He was the son of the late Thomas and Lorena Williamson Solomon.
Mr. Solomon was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elon and a Member of The Methodist Men and a Member of The Mens’ Bible Class. Mr. Solomon retired from J. Spencer Love Hosiery and was an Avid fisherman.
He was a veteran of the US Army during WW II serving in the European Theatre.
Survivors include his wife and 1 son, Gary Lynn Solomon of Burlington, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. 1 half brother, W. A. Rich of Burlington.
Preceded in death by parents and 1 daughter, Carolyn Solomon.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 Am, Saturday, July 20, 2002 At the First United Methodist Church of Elon by Rev. Randy Maynard, pastor of the church. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Mr. Solomon will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Friday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home.
