Wilson Willard Carmichael MEBANE — Wilson Willard Carmichael, 79, of Mebane died Thursday, October 15, 2015, at the Hospice Home in Burlington. He was a native of Caswell County, retired as a small engine repairman and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Kernodle Carmichael; parents, Lacy Willard and Dora Webster Carmichael; brother, J.E. Carmichael and two greatgrandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Brenda and Bruce Abbott of Mebane, Donald and Sheila Carmichael of Mebane, Carol Crabtree of Efland, Mary and Edward Franklin of Prospect Hill, Jim Carmichael of Mebane; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn and David Palumbo of Midlothian, VA, Robin and Chris Younger of Reidsville, Peggy and Coy Lunsford of Prospect Hill; brothers; Gene and Gerda Carmichael of Mebane and Wesley and Sallie Carmichael of Supply.
A service to celebrate his life will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane by Pastor Jim Florence. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6–8 p.m. Saturday, other times at the residence. The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to the nurses involved with Mr. Carmichael’s care.
