Mrs. Margaret Danieley Beckom
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Margaret Danieley Beckom, age 94, of 3172 Mansfield Rd. passed away at 7:09 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Jesse Arthur "Jack" Beckom and daughter of the late George Albert and Maggie Gerringer Danieley.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, the Womans Society of the Church and a member of the Young At Heart. She was a former employee of Sellars Department Store.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Arthur Beckom and wife Betty of the home; grandchildren, Beth Perry and husband Larry and Jackie Davis and husband Bobby Lee, Jr.; sister, Ava Ferguson of Burlington; great grandchildren, Margaret Elizabeth Perry, Jessica Nichole Perry and Joseph Cole Davis; great great grandchildren; Charles Anthony Moon, Brooklyn Nichole Kimrey and Kyra Elizabeth Perry and honorary grandchild, Elliott Faucette and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Charles June Danieley, J. Buck Danieley, Henry H. Danieley, Jesse J. Danieley and G. Asa Danieley; sister, Mary D. Saunders and daughter-in-law, Helen Johnson Beckom.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2008 at the Bethel United Methodist Church by Rev. Renee Burnette. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Beckom will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Sunday and at the residence at other times.
Memorials may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church, Cemetery Restoration Fund; c/o Emogene Faucette, 3734 Burch Bridge Rd. Burlington, NC 27217.
