GRAHAM - Lola Gail Whitesell, 72, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
A native of Alamance County, Gail was the daughter the late Charles W. Whitesell and Ruth Modlin Whitesell, who survives. She worked in contractor sales at Lowe’s Home Improvement Store in Mebane for over fourteen years. She was a member of Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church for over twenty-two years.
In addition to her mother, Gail is survived by her lifelong friend, Denise Harris; two sisters, Sandra Wimbish and husband, Tommy and Ann Rogers and husband, John; three brothers, Charles “Buddy” Whitesell and wife, Karen, Terry Whitesell and wife, Becky and Tony Whitesell and wife, Sherron; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Mark Stephens and Rev. John Woodard. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church, 2362 Brucewood Rd., Haw River, NC 27258.
