McLEANSVILLE — Mrs. Gladys Walker Whitesell, 72, died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at Wesley Long Community Hospital in Greensboro. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Alvis H. Walker and Mrs. Laura Lee Canady Walker, both deceased. She attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge in Burlington.
Survivors include five sons, Mr. William Henry Brannock of Raleigh, Mr. Franklin Lee Brannock of Burlington, Mr. James Allen Brannock of Whitsett, Mr. Donald Reece Brannock of McLeansville and Mr. Timothy James Brown of Greensboro; two daughters, Ms. Linda G. Brown and Ms. Teresa Self, both of Greensboro; a brother, Mr. James H. Walker of Burlington; a half sister, Mrs. Violet Crance of Burlington; 11 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a half sister, Mrs. Mary Rayles; and her husbands.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park. 3, Mrs. Gladys Walker Whitesell
