Franklin Lee Brannock
BURLINGTON — Mr. Franklin Lee Brannock, 65, went home to be with the Lord after a bout with cancer.
A native of Caswell County, he lived in Alamance County. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked for Burlington Engineering, Leesona, and GKN in Mebane where he retired after 23 years of service.
He was a hardworking man with a lot of friends. He loved doing what he loved, hunting, fishing, farming and spending time with family and friends. He would help anyone with anything at the drop of a hat. He was deeply loved and will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Henry “Bill” Brannock and his mother, Gladys Mabel Whitesell. He is survived by his son, Keith Brannock and wife Terri Brannock; two grandchildren, Cameron Durham and Clay Brannock; brothers, Don Brannock and wife Donna, James Brannock and wife Vivian, Henry Brannock and wife Laura, Jeff Brannock and wife Wendy and Tim Brown and wife Angie; a sister, Teresa Self and husband Fred; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at Lakeview Community Church on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Reid Dickens with the family receiving friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. In addition to the church visitation, the family will receive friends at the residence.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Lakeview Community Church, 101 Boone Road, Burlington, NC 27217.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Alamance Regional Medical Center, to Hospice for all of their help and to all the friends that visited and helped them through this tough time in their lives.
