James Albert  "Bob" Wagoner 


    WHITSETT — Mr. James Albert  "Bob" Wagoner , 89, of 1581 N.C. 61, Whitsett, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 12 noon.
    A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Christine Cook Wagoner  and Pearlie Carter Wagoner , and the son of James  Franklin Wagoner  and Maude Emma Foster Wagoner , both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from the Town of Elon and was a former farmer and carpenter.
    Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Violet Brame of Burlington and Mrs. Brenda Brown and husband, Dwight, of Bear Creek; four sons, Mr. James Wagoner  of Roxboro, Mr. Danny Wagoner  and wife, Pat, of the home, Mr. Ronnie Wagoner  and wife, Darla, of Burlington, and Mr. Chris Wagoner  and wife, Wadene, of Graham; one sister, Mrs. Peggy Harrison of Greensboro; one brother, Mr. John Wagoner  and wife, Lucy, of Burlington; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild.
    He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Jewel Carden; a grandson, Danny Wagoner , Jr.; and a greatgrandson, Julius Lytton.
    The funeral will be conducted at Glencoe Baptist Church on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 2 p.m. by Pastor Darrell Massey. Burial will follow in Brick Reformed Church cemetery.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 until 8 this evening, and at other times they will be at the residence of a daughter, Violet Brame, 453 N.C. 87 North, Burlington, N.C.
    Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of N.C., North Central Area, 3409D West Wendover Avenue, Greensboro, N.C. 27407.
