Mr. Darryl M. Andrews
GRAHAM — Mr. Darryl M. Andrews, 53, of 1010 Todd St., died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham after five months of failing health, two weeks critical. A native of Durham County, he was the husband of Mrs. Wanda Scott Andrews, who survives, and the son of Mr. Willie M. Andrews and Mrs. Dorothy Burton Andrews, both deceased. He was employed with General Electric for 29 years in management. He was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, where he was chairman of the administrative council, S.M.I. of the Church, past UMYF counselor, a Sunday school teacher, former chairman of the finance committee and served on other committees. Survivors other than his wife of the home include two sons, Mr. Jody Andrews of Haw River and Mr. Bradley Andrews of Mebane; a brother, Mr. David W. Andrews of Graham; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Salem United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jeff Arthurs, pastor, and the Rev. Benji Kelley, former pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Employees of General Electric will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will be at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening and at other times at the home.
