Charlie Tyson Patterson
 

 BURLINGTON – Mr. Charlie Tyson Patterson, 92, of 703 Heather Rd., Burlington, passed away at 12:03 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016, at the Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell.
 
 A native of Efland, NC, he was the husband of the late Carolyn Anderson Patterson and son of the late Charles Edwin Patterson, Sr. and Mary Fitch Patterson.
 
 He retired from Western Electric / AT & T with 30 years of service.
 
 Mr. Patterson was a member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ and a member of the Men’s Brotherhood.
 
 As a lover of music, Mr. Patterson enjoyed playing guitar with his brother as well as teaching others to play guitar.
 
 Surviving are a three daughters, Linda Carolyn Patterson and Kimberly Diane Patterson, both of the home and Amber Brown of Greensboro; a son, Gary Michael Patterson and wife Becky of Greensboro; a sister, Catherine Neighbors of Hillsborough; three brothers, Williams Thomas Patterson of Mebane, Charles Edwin Patterson, Jr. of Burlington and George Milton Patterson of Mebane; and a grandson, Carson Brown of Greensboro.
 
 Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by a son, Lonnie Tyson Patterson; a daughter, Karen Denise Patterson; four sisters, Rachel Lankford, Audrey Summerell, Becky Parrish and Sally Bell Patterson; and a brother, Vance Allred Patterson.
 
 Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, at the First Reformed United Church of Christ with Rev. Phil Myers and Rev. Lee Pittard officiating. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
 
 The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral & Cremation Service in Burlingtonfrom6-8p.m. Monday evening, and other times at the residence.
 
 Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27216.
