Anna Belle Butler, 88, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at Wesley Long Hospital.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, at Glenwood Friends Meeting, where she was a member.
Burial will follow in Centre Friends Meeting Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 28, 1913, in Randolph County, the daughter of the late Clayton Harrison and Ella Nora Ingle Whitesell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius Butler.
Survivors include her son, Clayton Aaron Butler and wife, Brenda of McLeansville; daughters, Janet Butler Doss of Greensboro, Jane Butler Devers and husband, David of Rex, Ga.; stepdaughters, Jo Anne Watts of Winston-Salem, Carolyn Hostetter of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; stepson, Neal Butler of Orofino, Idaho; sisters, Eloise Lawrence and Edna French; brother, James and Lee Whitesell; and grandchildren, Brad Devers, Tiffany Butler and Joshua Butler.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, at Hanes-Lineberry, Vanstory Street.
