KINSTON | Diane Whitesell McLawhorn, 64, of 360 Sandy Foundation Road, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Harrison and Juanita Bull Whitesell; and a brother, Kenneth Whitesell.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2016, from the chapel of Garner Funeral Home with the Reverend Walter Parker officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at her niece's home, Melissa Faulkner, 4302 Wyse Fork Road, Dover.
Interment services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Norman McLawhorn of the home; her daughters, Sherrie Norris of Salisbury and Miranda McLawhorn of Kinston; three step-sons, two grandchildren and her canine baby ""Sam.""
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society , 930 B Wellness Drive, Greenville NC 27834. Funeral Home is assisting the family. 470, Diane Whitesell McLawhorn
