Mrs. Edna Whitesell French, 85, former resident of 3345 Richardson Rd. died Tuesday afternoon at 3:20p.m. in the Graybrier Nursing and Retirement Center.

Mrs. French was born Feb. 2, l920 in Randolph County where she had resided all of her life.

A homemaker, Mrs. French was a member of the Glenola Baptist Church.

She was married to Claude W. French who preceded her in death in l980.

Surviving are l son; David French of Sophia ; l Sister; Mrs. Eloise Lawrence of Asheboro; 2 Brothers; Lee Whitesell of Greensboro and James Whitesell of Archdale; 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren;

Mrs. French was preceded in death by a daughter; Mary Kidd in 200l.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday at ll:00 A.M. from the Chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale by the Rev. Doug Davis.

Interment will follow in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 until 8:30p.m. and other times at the home of the son; 4426 Island Ford Rd. Sophia. Memorials may be directed to Glenola Baptist Church, 8330 US. Hwy 3ll, Archdale , N.C. 27263
