ELON — Mildred Whitesell Trogdon, 71, of 1472 Westbrook Ave. died Monday, September 8, 2003 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her son, Marshall W. Trogdon of Elon and her daughter, Penny T. Haynes of the home. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel.

ELON — Mildred Whitesell Trogdon, 71, of 1472 Westbrook Ave. died Monday, September 8, 2003, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Alamance County to the late Marshall and Geneva Whitesell and was married to the late Fred T. Trogdon Jr. Mrs. Trogdon was a former employee of Huffman Oil Company where she worked at the Glenwood Texaco.
She is survived by her son, Marshall W. Trogdon and his wife Janet of Elon; daughter, Penny T. Haynes and her husband David of the home; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Doris W. Johnson and her husband Buford of Elon; and a brother, Sherman M. Whitesell and his wife Patsy of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Coleen W. Ellington and a brother, Roy M. Whitesell.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Delton Agnor. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening at the funeral home and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Mildred Trogdon c/o Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, 2205 S. Church St. Burlington, N.C. 27215.3, Mildred Whitesell Trogdon
