Nancy Greeson Smith
WHITSETT — Mrs. Nancy Greeson Smith , 71, of 1734 N.C. 61 South, Whitsett, died at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 1:48 p.m. following a brief illness.
A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of Silas Richard Smith , who survives, and the daughter of Clarence Dougen Greeson and Mabel Woodard Greeson , both deceased. She was a homemaker.
In addition to the husband of the home, survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Kay S. Dinwiddie and husband, Howard, and Mrs. Paula S. Apple and husband, Tim, all of Whitsett, and Mrs. Kathy S. Arey and husband, David, of Kernersville; two sisters, Mrs. Donna G. Coble and husband, P. J., of Burlington and Mrs. Linda G. Smith and husband, Leon, of Decatur, Ala.; eight grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Denny Wall. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 until 8 this evening, and at other times they will be at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Hospice at Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, N.C. 27405 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
