Jefferson Elzievann Madren, 80, of Reidsville went to be with his Heavenly Father, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday March 5, 2015 at the Penn Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00PM Sunday March 8, 2015 at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A native of Alamance Co., he was a son of the late Paul Lee and Lena Simpson Madren and had lived in the Williamsburg Community of Rockingham Co. most of his life.

Jeff was retired from Western Electric, which later became Alcatel Lucent and was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon, Usher, Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Brotherhood. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening of all kind, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jeff was preceded in death by his wife: Sharon Walker Madren and his sister: Nellie Keisler.

Surviving are: sons: Joel Madren and wife: Cherrie, Todd Madren and wife: Barbara, & Tony Madren all of Reidsville; daughter: Labree M. Capps and husband: Ken of Reidsville; brothers: Frank Madren and wife: Joann of Los Gatos, CA, & Paul Madren Jr. of Mt. Airy; sisters: Sara M. Underwood and husband: Dan of Winston-Salem & Jane M. Knapel of CA; sister-in-law: LaWana Walker of Reidsville; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews.

The family will see friends from 6:00 till 8:00PM Saturday March 7, 2015 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home of his son: Joel W. Madren 2212 NC 87 Reidsville, NC 27320.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Penn Nursing Center for the loving care that they provided Jeff during his illness.
