James Vance Wrenn
REIDSVILLE — James Vance Wrenn , age 79, of 8173 Cherry Grove Rd., passed away at 9:48 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2007, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Inez Saunders Wrenn for 59 years and was the son of the late Melvin Howard and Faye Moore Wrenn .
After 25 years, Vance retired from County Ford and had been an agent for Southland Life Insurance Co. and owner/operator of Pagetown Curb Market.
He was a member of Camp Spring United Methodist Church and a former board member, was very active in the Cherry Grove Ruritan where he was Past President and Zone Governor, a member of Alamance County Rescue Squad for 10 years, and one of the founders of little league baseball in Caswell County in 1959.
Survivors include his wife, Inez Saunders Wrenn of the home; son, J.V. Wrenn , and wife Pam of King; daughter, Dianne Watson and husband Dwight of Prospect Hill; sisters, Maxine Sharpe and husband Ray of Elon and Sherrion Danieley and husband Donnie of Burlington; brothers, T. Clelon Wrenn Sr. and wife Joan of Burlington, Therwell Howard Wrenn and wife Ann, Curtis F. Wrenn and wife Myrtie and Carl H. Wrenn and wife Kay, all of Elon; four grandchildren, Mickey Wrenn and wife Betsy, Amanda Rule and husband Sam, Dwight Watson Jr. and wife Trish and Derek Watson and wife Carla; three great-grandchildren, Caleb and Joshua Wrenn and Samantha Rule.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Buddy Hamlett, and a sister, Sarah Lee Wrenn .
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Camp Springs United Methodist Church by the Rev. Johnny Roberts, the Rev. Patricia Watson, the Rev. Darrell Sibbett and the Rev. Donald Harris with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.

Inez Saunders Wrenn, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Moses Cone Hospital.
A native of Caswell County, she was born March 20, 1932 to the late Jonah Ware Saunders and Mary Elizabeth Shreves Saunders and was the wife of 59 years to James Vance Wrenn, Sr. who passed away in 2007.
Inez was a longtime member of Camp Springs Community Church. She was the owner of Pagetown Curb Market and worked many years for Burlington Industries Williamsburg Plant. Inez loved gospel music and annual trips to the Myrtle Beach Singing In The Sun. She faithfully served beside her husband in the Ruritan Club and enjoyed time spent eating with her friends. She was an avid Duke fan, cheering for them up until her final days. Inez was an independent woman who lived a very fulfilling life with many friends and acquaintances. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her son, J. V. Wrenn, Jr. and wife Pamela of King; grandchildren, Mickey Wrenn and wife Betsy, Amanda Rule, Dwight Watson, Jr. and wife Trish and Derek Watson and wife Carla; great grandchildren, Caleb Wrenn, Joshua Wrenn, Samantha Rule, Buddy J. Rule, Madelyn Watson, Savannah Watson, Amirabelle Watson, Ivy Watson and Eva Watson and three great great grandchildren.
