Wade Hampton Jones was born February 28, 1881 and departed this life January 8, 1941.

He was born to the late John E. Jones and Martha Weaver Jones of Lansing, NC.

On October 11, 1911 he was united in marriage to Leila Denton Young of Rugby VA. To this union were born eight children.

Mr. Jones was a School Teacher for 30 years in the Ash County Public School System, often time riding a horse to and from school. He was a faithfuel member of the Warrensvill Methodist Church, Warrensville, NC.  470, Wade Hampton Jones, Sr
