Lee Alexander "L.A." Somers
    BURLINGTON — Lee Alexander "L.A." Somers, 49, of 3163 Maple Ave., Lot 2, died at 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at his home.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs. Donna Hughes Somers, who survives, and the son of Ervin Lee Somers, who survives, and the late Marie Perkins Somers. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
    Survivors other than his wife of the home and his father of Elon include two sons, Aaron Somers of Gainesville, Fla., and Brian Somers of Burlington; a sister, Delores Terrell of Elon; three brothers, Fred Somers and Steve Somers, both of Elon, and Mike Somers of Reidsville; and six grandchildren.
    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Ernest Beck. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham tonight from 7 to 9.
