BURLINGTON — Mrs. May Foy Isley Gerringer, 85, of Burlington died at the Twin Lakes Center on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 5:45 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of John Buck Gerringer, who survives, and the daughter of Cecil H. Isley and Grace Loy Isley Jones, both deceased. She was a retired employee of Wachovia Bank and a member of Shallow Ford Christian Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a brother, Cecil H. Isley of Burlington and three nieces, Marie Cardwell, Gloria Smith and Rachel Hawker.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Hilda Parrish.
The family will greet friends in the parlor of Shallow Ford Christian Church on Friday, August 28, 2009 from 10 until 11 a.m. Following the visitation, the funeral service will be conducted in the church at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Dr. S. Perry. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Shallow Ford Christian Church, 1263 Shallowford Church Road, Elon, N.C. 27244.
