Funeral for Joseph Grier "J. G. " Nesbit, 94, who died June 27, 1992, at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park with Masonic Rites.
A native of Iredell County, he was owner of the J. G. Nesbit and Son Plastering Company, life member of the Guilford Masonic Lodge 656, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, member of Oasis Temple and life member of the Oriental Shrine Club.
Surviving are wife, Carrie L. Nesbit; sons, Jean T. Nesbit, Joe G. Nesbit Jr., both of Greensboro, W. M. "Bill"Nesbit of Vinton, Va., John D. Nesbit of Milton, Va., Lt. Col. Charles L. Nesbit Sr. of Willis Landing; daughters, Mrs. Cortez A. Grochow, Carolyn D. Huffines, both of Greensboro, Mrs. Mary A Foust of Richmond, Va.; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
