January 9, 1939 ~ October 26, 2023 (age 84)
Lottie G. Huffines, 84, of Gibsonville, NC passed away peacefully and comfortably at her residence surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Dewey Huffines, Jr. and the daughter of Luther Grumbles and Josie Petty Grumbles, both deceased. She enjoyed 30 years of retirement after 30 years of service at P. Lorillard. Lottie resided in her community at Abby Glen where she enjoyed and loved her neighbors.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Campbell and Kimberly Conklin (Mitch); son, Roger Huffines (Donna); two granddaughters, Anna Loney (Jeffrey) and Sarah Elizabeth Lagasse (Stephen); grandson, Carson Campbell (Adrienne); and three great grandsons.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lottie was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Brady, Betsy Whittemore, and Margie Sutton and a brother, John L. Grumbles.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Mausoleum Chapel at Alamance Memorial Park on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. by Dan Timmons with the entombment to follow in the Mausoleum.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Lottie’s caregivers, Donna “Wildcat” Jack, Susan Powell, Janet Walton, and the compassionate staff of AuthoraCare for the kindnesses and care given to Lottie.
