J.W. Busick 

    GIBSONVILLE — J.W. Busick , 69, of 7910 Troxler Mill Road, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro.

He was the husband of the late Emma Lois Bowman Busick , and the son of the late Cecil W. and Zula Huffines Busick .

J.W. was a native of Guilford County, retired from the Alamance County School System, where he taught at Western Alamance High School. He was a member of the National Educators Association, the North Carolina Educators Association, the Future Farmers of America and Apple’s Chapel Christian Church.

    Survivors include his son, Jacen Busick  and his wife, Angela, of Randleman; a granddaughter, Emma Caroline Busick ; and a sister, Elizabeth B. Price of Williamston, N.C.

    The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Apple’s Chapel Christian Church by the Rev. C. Allen Myers III. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

    The family will receive friends following the service, and at other times at the residence. Mr. Busick  will lie in state at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. today prior to the service.
