Mrs. Lydia Savannah Gerringer
     Mrs. Lydia Savannah Gerringer, 75, of 1431 W. Webb Ave. died Saturday right at 10:15 o'clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Vivian G. Mullis of 211 Holly St., with whom she had been making her home. She had been in failing health for several years and critically ill for three weeks.
     A native of Alamance County, she was a daughter of the late Jacob M. and Margaret Elizabeth Apple Gerringer and was the widow of Montford Maud Gerringer, who died in July 1966. She was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ at Altamahaw.
     Surviving, in addition to her daughter, are two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Howerton of Gibsonville and Mrs. Daisy Tickle of Hartsville, S. C.; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
     Final rites will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at J. A. Lowe Memorial Church by the Rev. Frank McGuire pastor, the Rev. Dolan A. Talbert, pastor of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, and the Rev. Richard M. Petersen, pastor of Shallowford United Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Shallowford Church Cemetery.
     The boy will remain at the home of Mrs. Mullis at 211 Holly St. until taken to the church to lie in stat 30 minutes prior to the service.
